Description: This violin is a fine Italian instrument, the work of Carlo Bisiach of Milan made in Firenze, whose original label it bears dated 1948. It is a fine and characteristic example of the maker’s work.

Measurements: 35.3cm in length of body, with widths of 16.6cm bare and 20.5cm full.

Violin maker: Bisiach, Carlo. Born 1892 Milan, died 1968 Florence Italy. Son and assistant of Leandro Bisiach, below. Established in Florence 1926 in the via Piccinotti. Very fine and conscientious workmanship and materials. Orange-red varnish. Gold medals at several competitions. Exhibited in Cremona 1937 and 1949. Carlo Bisiach Di Leandro / Fece in Milano.
