Anna Brown is a British violinist based in London. She is a versatile musician, performing across many different musical genres. Anna is a dedicated chamber musician and leader of her string quartet, Quartet Concrète. Winners of the 2023 St James’ Chamber Music Competition, they have performed at venues across Europe, including the Cadogan Hall, St James Piccadilly, Holker Hall, and Cité Musicale-Metz. They have appeared in Lake District Music’s 2024 Summer Festival, L’Académie Diotima 2025, as well as being selected for Chamber Studio’s Hans Keller Forum 2023/24. Anna is also passionate about Historical Performance and has led many ensembles on baroque violin, performing orchestral and opera repertoire, as well as giving performances with the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of London at St Martin in the Fields. She recently earned a place on the OAE Experience Scheme 2026-27, where she will to be mentored by members of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment for the two years. Anna studied on a scholarship at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in the class of Krysia Osostowicz, as well as baroque violin studies with Oliver Webber. Whilst at the Guildhall she was pleased to lead many of their ensembles, at the Barbican and Milton Court, namely the Symphony and Opera Orchestras as well as many Baroque ensembles.
