Claire Kohda (Hazelton) is a violinist and author. She has played with London Contemporary Orchestra, Heritage Orchestra and artists such as Sigur Ros, The National, Max Richter and on film soundtracks including Tar, The Matrix Resurrections and The Two Popes. She is also working on an album of compositions and improvisations with composer and pianist James Welland. She also plays the koto, a Japanese instrument.
Claire plays a violin by John Betts (c.1800, London) and a bow by Charles Espey, both on loan from the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation.
