Flora Fontanelli

Hungarian-born Italian violinist Flora Fontanelli is a versatile musician interested in modern and historical performance as well as orchestra performance and chamber music. Flora performs regularly in symphonic and chamber orchestras such as Aurora, the Hallé, the Oxford Philharmonic, the European Union Chamber Orchestra and the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, among others. She has been part of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Experience Scheme 2022 and Southbank Sinfonia 2020 and 2021 Fellowship Scheme after completing her Master in Performance at the Royal College of Music in London. Flora performs regularly in London and in Milan together with her duo partner, pianist Danilo Mascetti and is collaborating together with visual artist Elisabetta Cuccaro on their project “Duo Mirror” which aims to discover ways and spaces in which various disciplines interact. She has recently funded Tolma Collective which aims to engage more people in classical music in Italy through a varied program (from classical to pop/jazz and folk), performances in unconventional locations (pubs, museums, castles, galleries, etc), where musicians stand around and among the public.
