Jane Park, a violinist from the US started her musical progression by making her debut at the Kennedy
Center in Washington D.C., winning 1st prize at the International Youth Praise Music Competition at the
age of 6. Pursuing her commitment in music, she won 2nd prize at the New York International
Competition and Gold Prize at the International Virtuoso Competition at the age of 10.
She earned performance opportunities at Carnegie Hall and Merkin Hall in New York. Jane also had the honours of being chosen at masterclasses with Mark Kaplan (Indiana University) and Ani Kavafian (Yale University) at JCC Thurnauer School of Music, NJ, USA. She also attended Mannes Music School Pre-College
division. Later she devoted her studies with Juilliard Pre-College faculties, Ann Setzer and Khullip Jeung.
Jane moved to Busan, Korea, and continued her studies. She won numerous competitions such as Silla
University Music Competition, Inje University Music Competition, Busan Music Education Institution Music
Competition, Music Education News Music Competition, Glovil Music Competition, and Busan Teacher’s
University Music Competition. She performed at Youngsan Art Hall in Seoul after winning the Grand prize
at the 46th National Music Association Music Competition. Jane was then chosen as a soloist with Busan
Sinfonietta for Young Artists’ Concerto Festival, and also with Busan Philharmonic Youth Orchestra at the
2019 Soloists’ Festival at the age of 17.
She completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Music at the Royal College of Music, London, UK
and is currently studying her Artistic Diploma Degree with Professor Felix Andrievsky. Jane had the
privilege of working with numerous renowned conductors and composers, including Kirill Karabits, Rafael
Payare, Martyn Brabbins, James MacMillan, Sofi Jeannin, and Nicholas Collon during her studies.
Granted a scholarship by the George Thornton Award Holder in 2025, Jane was successful in gaining a
trial with the English National Ballet Philharmonic and made her debut in performing The Nutcracker at
the Coliseum. She is currently working as first violin of the Roselle String Quartet performing outside and
across all of London. Recently, the Roselle Quartet had the privilege to be invited to the Speaker’s House
where they had the honor of meeting and performing for Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of
Commons, and Mike Johnson, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Jane currently performs on a Richard Duke (1778), London (UK) violin on loan generously awarded by The
Harrison-Frank Family Foundation.
Sophie started learning the violin aged 7 in her hometown of Northampton. In 2014, Sophie moved to London to study her undergraduate degree at the Royal College of Music, and later continued her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Following this, she was a member of the Southbank Sinfonia.
Sophie has enjoyed a varied freelance career, performing with orchestras such as the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, City of Birmingham Symphony and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras. She is currently a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Sophie plays on a violin by Dante Guastalla (1920), on kind loan from the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation.
