Australian violinist Mitzi Gardner is a London-based musician, playing regularly with major orchestras of the UK. Mitzi regularly performs with the London Symphony Orchestra, Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Sinfonia of London and the Aurora Orchestra.
Highlights have included taking part in the LSO’s Aix en Provence residency with Sir Simon Rattle and performing at Carnegie Hall as part of their USA tour with Sir Antonio Pappano. Mitzi has also enjoyed performing at the BBC Proms with the Aurora Orchestra, Sinfonia of London and the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
As a chamber musician, Mitzi has enjoyed performing alongside Lorenza Borrani and Clio Gould, as well as leading a new arrangement of the Bach Piano Partitas rewritten for chamber ensemble. This was directed by Trevor Pinnock and recorded at the Britten Studios in Snape Maltings.
Mitzi completed her education at the Royal Academy of Music in 2024 holding the Helen Worswick Scholarship, studying with Maureen Smith, Igor Yuzefovich, Levon Chilingirian and Clio Gould. She has previously studied with Professor Goetz Richter and Janet Davies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
