Tayfun Bomboz

Tayfun began learning the violin aged 10 in primary school in his home city of London. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Music and has began an orchestral career with Southbank Sinfonia. He is currently on trial with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for the 1st violin tutti position, and does extra work with WNO, LPO, RPO, RLPO, CBSO and RNS. He was also on the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House Mentorship Scheme and the Philharmonia Orchestra Sit-in scheme. Since studying at the Purcell School for Young Musicians, he has performed solo recitals at Wigmore Hall, Milton Court, St Martin in the Fields and St James Piccadilly. He has attended the Musica Mundi Course and Festival in Belgium, and the Cambridge International String Academy. Alongside his work, he has undertaken a lot of community outreach work giving workshops for children, through Southbank Sinfonia as well as while studying at the Purcell School.
