September 2017

Huge congratulations to the Maxwell Quartet for winning the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition on 30 September 2017. Both violinists have instruments on loan from the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation: Colin Scobie plays the violin by Paolo Castello, Genoa c.1770, and George Smith plays the violin by Bernardus Calcanius, Genoa c.1740, and uses the bow by Albert Nurnberger from 1930. Please read the article about their success in The Strad Magazine.
